Flame Tree Barbeque (Discovery Island, Bay Lake, FL (407) 939-6244)
"Excellent smoked, tender ribs! decent priced: ~$10.00 Also had their BBQ Chicken Salad which was good as well. The BBQ pork sandwich was average though." - Alvin H. on judysbook.com
Yak & Yeit's (775 Werikhe Way, Lake Buena Vista, FL (407) 352-6140)
"The food was fresh and tasty. They have options for the kids. We had a party of eight and were seated promptly at our reservation time. The service was fantastic and the price was incredibly reasonable. This is definitely a gem of a place to eat inside of the parks." - Francisco F. on yelp.com
"We grabbed 3 appetizers here: steamed pot stickers, tempura green beans, and lettuce cups. All were excellent, akin to something you might get at a PF Changs or similar restaurant. Prices weren't horrible for Disney." - Michael H. at yelp.com
Pizzafari (Discovery Island, Bay Lake, FL)
"We were absolutely shocked how amazingly good breakfast is at this location. A spinach and goat cheese frittata at a quick service restaurant? Really? It was SO good! It came with the best seasoned potatoes too. I have a specialized frittata pan from Williams and Sonoma so I make them all the time. Disney's turned out perfectly and everyone at the table remarked on how they couldn't believe their breakfast was perfect and sssoooooo good!" - Susan R on yelp.com
"This is a good choice for a quick lunch. I'll again emphasize that, during busier times of the year, you need to go during the off times. At 10:45 a.m., the place was nearly empty. By 11:30 a.m., the giant line was nearing the exit. As before, the pizza is a bit better than you'd expect and the salads are just an after-thought. Kids' meals have increased in price. Consistent with other theme parks, the price of a quick lunch has some sticker shock: 2 adult personal pizzas and side salads (no drink), 2 kids meals with tiny pizzas: $31. Pay attention to the murals on the walls - each room has its own theme. Subtle, for sure, but a nice touch." - Mike C on yelp.com
Rainforest Cafe (505 North Rainforest Road, Lake Buena Vista, FL)
"REALLY NOISY! The food was okay, too much dressing on the Ahi salad, and the prices were a bit high (but it's Disney) and the aquariums were awesome. Between the waterfalls and the fact that it was busy, that was loud, but understandable -- on top of that there was a monotonous drumbeat -- not music, just a recurring bass/purcussion phrase for the whole time we were there -- and every ten minutes or so a REALLY loud piped in monkey screeching, add in waiters chanting for birthdays, and it was semi-hellish. I had a drink, but it was really sweet, and not nearly strong enough to make that racket tolerable. In addition, the place had a strange mildewy odor. Next time I go to Animal Kingdom, I'll eat at the Yak and Yeti." - ngear on google reviews
"If you have kids, especially young kids, they will love this place and you can suffer through your meal. It is standard over priced Disney food with watered down drinks. It is REALLY loud but has lots of animals that move and jungle sounds. Waiter could not have been nicer...his name was Bill (send my love if you see him). Dino nuggets were so nasty my 8 year old turned her nose up and would not eat them. We got some kind of appetizer sampler that was foul and shared a jambalaya pasta that was in serious need of salt. Think of bad expensive airport food with lots of cool LOUD stuff to look at." - Tiffany T. on yelp.com
Boma-Flavors of Africa (2901 West Osceola Parkway, Walt Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas, Orlando, Lake Buena Vista, FL)
"I noticed an offering of root vegetable that happened to look quite appealing, however, I didn't remember the chef ever saying that the selection of root vegetable were vegan. I questioningly inquired with my sever as to whether or not I could have the root vegetables. she promptly checked with the chef and reported that I was unable to have the root vegetables because they were finished with an herb butter (always ask first, a lot of restaurants use ingredients you otherwise wouldn't think to make the dish look more appealing, in this case the butter was used to add a delicate sheen to the dish). However, she did report that the chef would be happy to make me a vegan version of the dish, I was ecstatic. Upon returning to the table I saw a plate filled with delicious seasoned root vegetables including parsnips, and carrots, plus there was a side of crisply seasoned broccolini and asparagus waiting for me. I couldn't be happier, the root vegetables were delicious and lightly seasoned in a buttery olive oil." - Kait C, Hamden CT, on yelp.com
"Located in WDW Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort Hotel, this is a buffet place. I found the food to be amazing and the service very attentive. My family on the other hand did not care for the food. It was too different for them. On the Dining Plan, it counts as one meal." - Kelly B, Macungie PA, on yelp.com
